VDL Service Disruption
DVLA announce possible disruption to the VDL service.
If you have booked or are thinking of booking a vehicle this weekend (21st / 22nd October) it is essential that you obtain and provide us your Driving Licence check code prior to our offices closing at 17:30 this Friday 20th October.
DVLA have today announced that there will be a power-down of their systems between Friday 20th Otober at 19:00 until Monday 23rd October 06:00am that may affect the View Driving Licence (VDL) service, due to insurance regulations without a valid check code we are unable to let you take your vehicle.
You can obtain your Licence Check Code by using the .gov website here it is a free service where you enter few details (listed below) once you’ve entered your details click on the right hand tab “Get your check code” Once here click the Green “Get a code” button where you’ll see an 8 digit case sensitive code, you can screenshot this page or click “Print or save a driving summary” once you’ve done either of these please send it with your booking number/surname to our reservations@intack.co.uk inbox were we’ll check your licence so you have no issues on collection.
If you are unable to obtain a licence check code using the above VDL service prior to the weekend you can call the DVLA helpline on 0300 083 0013, this service is only open until 14:00pm on Saturday, this service is usually extremely busy and wait times of 30 mins are normal.
Details required:
- your driving licence number (usually found at Position 5. on your driving licence and starts with the first 5 letters of your surname)
- National insurance number
- Your home postcode/postcode on your licence if different
