Can I pay for car hire using cash only?

Unfortunately not! As with most other car hire companies, here at Intack Self Drive we’ll need card payments in the driver’s name for both the deposit and hire fees.

Is car insurance necessary for renting a car?

Yes, car insurance is compulsory for all rentals to ensure legal compliance on the road. (As much the government’s rules as ours!) We offer various insurance options at competitive rates, allowing you to choose the most suitable option. Plus, we provide a Collision Damage Waiver to reduce your initial deposit. Or, if you decide to use your own comprehensive insurance, we offer a 20% discount on your daily car hire!

What documents do I need to rent a car?

You'll need a valid photocard driving licence (probably no surprise there!). If you have an older paper licence, you'll also require valid photo ID (such as a passport) and a credit or debit card. If you’re a returning customer, you’ll also need to present at least one proof of address (e.g., credit card statement, bank statement, or utility bill) dated within the last three months. If you’re a new customer, or you’ve changed your address since your last rental, you’ll need to provide two proofs of address.

What happens if I return the rental car early?

If you return your car before the agreed end date, you won’t be charged for unused days, and you’ll receive a refund for the remaining days of your booking. For further information, please don’t hesitate to contact our hire team!
