Can I rent a car without a credit card?

Yes, however, even if you pay by debit card, you will still need to pay a deposit. So, ensuring you have sufficient funds to cover the deposit and avoid any inconvenience is always wise. Can I rent a car with only cash?

Unfortunately, no, you can't. We can’t rent a car without a payment made in the driver's name because we have certain financial and legal obligations that we need to adhere to. To secure one of our vehicles, we require a credit or debit card payment for the deposit and preferably for the hire charges.


What do I need to hire a rental car?

No matter what kind of car or van you plan on hiring, you'll still need to present several documents, including: 

  • A valid photocard licence (driving licence or passport)

  • A valid credit or debit card

  • At least one proof of address, dated within the last three months

If you've hired from us before, one proof of address will do, but if you've moved since the last time you hired from us (or you're a new customer), make sure you bring two! They'll both need to be dated within the last three months!
